Bigg Boss 14 alumni Nikki Tamboli's brother Jatin Tamboli, who had been battling COVID-19, died this morning. On Tuesday, Nikki posted a few pictures of her brother on her Instagram handle. While the first and third picture in the series feature Jatin, in the second photo, we see Nikki posing with her brother. Their mother is also there in the picture. Nikki wrote a heart-wrenching note for her brother as she bid farewell to him. In her caption, she wrote, "We didn't know that this morning god was going to call your name..."

"In life we loved you dearly...In death we do the same. It broke our hearth to lose you. You didn't go alone. For part of us we went with you. The day god called you home. You left us beautiful memories. Your love is still our guide. And though we cannot see you. You are always by our side," read an excerpt from Nikki's post.

Nikki added that her "family chain is broken...as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. You gave no one a last farewell. Not ever said good bye...You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why. A million times we will miss you...A million times we will cry...If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died...We will meet again someday."

She concluded her note by saying, "I thank God he made you our brother while you were here on earth. You are always loved immensely and never forgotten. May your soul rest in peace! I miss you dada.

Celebrities such as Bhagyashree Mote, Siddhanth Kapoor, Rahul Mahajan, Jasmin Bhasin and Abhinav Shukla reacted to her post. Bhagyashree wrote, "Very sorry for your loss! This is very personal! May god u strength to u and your family! My condolences!" Siddhanth commented, "Oh god Nikki ! I am so sorry. May his soul RIP. take care and stay strong." Rahul wrote, "Omg. I do sorry to hear this news my condolences with you and your family." "You are a strong girl Nikki. Stay strong. May his soul RIP. Take care," Jasmin Bhasin's comment read. Abhinav Shukla wrote, "So sorry for the loss Nikki, accept my heartfelt condolences, I am sure he has left us with memories that we will cherish for rest of our lives. Be strong!"

Nikki Tamboli also posted an Instagram story in which she shared that her 29-year-old brother Jatin was hospitalised twenty days ago. Apart from COVID-19, he was also diagnosed with tuberculosis and pneumonia. She wrote, "My brother was just 29. He was dealing with lot of health issues since many years...20 days back my brother got admitted in the hospital as his lungs was collapsed. He was surviving on one lung. He tested positive for tuberculosis and COVID in the hospital. He also got pneumonia and today morning his heart stopped beating and responding..."

Nikki Tamboli had recently organised a puja for Jatin's recovery at her home. She shared a few pictures of the prayer ceremony on her Instagram handle and wrote a note along with it. "God will answer your prayers better than you think...of course, one will not always get exactly what he has asked for.. we all have sorrows and disappointments but one must never forget that, if commended to God they will issue in good.. his own solution is far better than any we could conceive #prayers #healing #getwellsoonbhaiya #weallarewithyou...You have your sister who is waiting for you," she wrote.

In March, Nikki Tamboli had tested positive for coronavirus. She shared the news on her Instagram handle back then. Nikki wrote, "I have been tested Covid-positive early this morning. I am self-quarantined, and taking all precautionary measures and medications on my doctor's advice." See her post here:
