A still from Doctor Strange
London:
Actor Mads Mikkelsen says he knew making a movie based on Doctor Strange comics was an ambitious project as they are like graphic novels.
The 50-year-old actor, who stars as Kaecilius, one of the Masters of Mystic Arts, in the superhero movie, said the film is very different to other action films, reported Female First.
"I had a hunch it would be ambitious because I knew the comic books. It's almost like a graphic novel, the visuals are a completely different world in terms of turning the world upside down and using magic," he said.
Mr Mikkelsen had to get heavy eye make-up for his role in the film and despite having the effect applied for two hours a day, he found it a relaxing process.
"I spent two hours every day (in the make-up chair). It was two hours of nice relaxation and I go and dream somewhere," he added.
The movie stars Benedict Cumberbatch in the titular role.
