London: Amy Winehouses's rocker friend Pete Doherty has said that her sudden demise had left him "bewildered".
The 32-year-old former Libertines frontman became close friends with the 'Rehab' hitmaker in 2007 and they are believed to have supported each other as they battled their drug demons, Daily Express reported.
"I'm struggling with everything because I'm so bewildered about what happened to Amy. I was in bed when I heard the news of her death. Someone had to wake me up to tell me. I couldn't take it in and still can't.
"Coming to terms with what has happened is almost impossible. It's hard to think she's not with us any more," he said.
