His career might have been lyinglow lately but actor Vivek Oberoi says he has a lot to lookforward as he gears up for three big releases this year.
The 36-year-old's past few releases like Prince, RakhtCharitra and Kismat Love Paisa Dilli did not do well at thebox office but Vivek thinks it is not a time to dwell on thepast.
"I don't look back, what has happened is done. It is notmy time to look back just yet, probably when I am too old inthe industry I will do that. But right now I just want to lookforward and concentrate on good work. 2013 has lot of goodwork in store for me. I don't have time to look back," Vivektold PTI.
The actor, who was recently seen in Jayanta Bhai Ki LuvStory, has gangster drama Zilla Ghaziabad, Krrish 3 andcomedy Grand Masti releasing this year.
He plays "super villain" in Rakesh Roshan's Krrishfranchise and a school teacher-turned-rebel in ZilaGhaziabad.
"I play this super villain in Krrish 3 and it is a verydark and intense character. I have never done anything likethis before. In fact, on the first day of the sets, Hrithiktold me that he wanted to do this role initially so it was ahuge compliment. I think I am very lucky to get that part.
"In Zila Gaziabad I play a school teacher, who focuseson improving the lives of children around him. But he isdragged into gangster trouble and that is when he drops hispen and picks up the gun. It is more of a rebellious role."
Besides movies, Vivek is busy with his new born sonthese days and he says it is difficult to leave his family andconcentrate on work.
"It is an unbelievable feeling. I thought I was preparedfor it but actually I am not. I want to be with him always andit kills me to get away from him. I may be busy with shootingsbut my mind is always back home," he said.
With almost a decade in the industry, Vivek has had onlya few hits in his kitty but he insists he is not let down byhis failures.
"These past few years, the idea was to sit back, reassesswhat went wrong and what kind of movies I want to do from hereon. Also success and failure are a part of any job, you justhave to learn to take it in your stride and with dignity. Iwant to be honest towards my work and work harder."Vivek has also tried his hands in movie production withthe film Dekh Indian Circus, but says it is not something heplans to take up full time.
"I have been in the industry for 10-years and have someequity and I feel it is important to promote young talent.Times are changing in the industry and we need new people. Ifsomething interesting comes up I will definitely put mysupport behind it," he said.
