Singer Ed Sheeran's second album x has sold more than 182,000 copies in the last seven days making it the fastest-selling album of 2014.
The 23 year-old entered the British charts on June 29 at No 1 with his 12-track album, reports contactmusic.com. (Also Read: JLo feels being a singer is a challenge)
x, which was released June 20, clearly beat the opening week score of Coldplay's hugely successful album Ghost Stories, which released in May, by 14,000 copies, the Official Charts Company reports.
The A-Team singer, who is currently performing at the Glastonbury Festival, took to Twitter to thank his 9.74 million followers for their support.
"182k sold in the UK week one making it the fastest selling album of the year," he tweeted.
"I'm on cloud 9 and keep laughing at everything. Love you all," he added.
