Mumbai: With many small screen actorsmaking it big in Bollywood, actor Eijaz Khan believes theline between TV and big screen is blurring.
TV actors like Sushant Singh Rajput, Rajiv Khandelwal,Yami Gautam, Prachi Desai, Ronit Roy and Ram Kapoor have foundsuccess on the silver screen.
Eijaz, who has worked in movies like Tanu Weds Manu andZilla Ghaziabad, believes the trend of TV stars crossingover to Bollywood is here to stay.
"Finally, TV actors are doing good on the silver screenand they are being received well by the audience. The thinline between a TV actor and a movie actor is blurring.
"When a TV actor stars in a film, it automaticallybecomes popular as we have got wide reach among audience. Wework hard like others in our 30 minutes stint in TV," Eijaz said.
Eijaz's debut lead film Lucky Kabootar will hittheatres soon and the 37-year-old actor is excited about it.
"It's my first solo film. It's a comedy and I hopeaudience likes it. The film is being directed by ShammiChabra. I am paired opposite Kulraj Randhawa and Shraddha Dasin the film," he said.
Eijaz, who is recovering from a shoulder injury, recentlymade an entry into the TV show Diya Aur Baati Hum as aquiz master.
The show is currently hosting a quiz competition Sab seBada Champion, which will decide the female protagonistSandhya's fate.
"Diya Aur Baati Hum is a progressive show. Sandhya(female lead) is a part of this quiz and if she wins then onlyher mother-in-law will let her pursue her dream of becoming anIPS officer.
"I am happy to associate myself with the show becauseit's a double bonanza. I am getting a chance to host a showfor the first time and also returning to the channel where Istarted my career from," said Eijaz, who started his careerwith popular TV show Kesar.
Eijaz is dating Canadian singer Natalie Di Luccio forquite a sometime and the duo are planning to get married soon.
"God has really been kind to me. He gave me whenever Ineeded something. He gave me a very sweet person Natalie, whois a loving and caring person. Now, I have learnt to enjoyeach day of my life," he said.
