Comedienne Ellen Degeneres hasbeen chosen to host the upcoming 86th annual Academy Awards.This would be the second stint for DeGeneres, 55, the starof her own daytime talk show Ellen, who previously hostedthe Oscars in 2007, reported Ace Showbiz.
"I am so excited to be hosting the Oscars for the secondtime. You know what they say - the third time's the charm,"she said.
Producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said, "We arethrilled to have Ellen DeGeneres host the Oscars. As alongtime friend, we had always hoped to find a project for usto do together and nothing could be more exciting than teamingup to do the Oscars."
The 2014 Academy Awards will take place at the DolbyTheatre in Hollywood on March 2, 2014.Actor Seth MacFarlane previously hosted the prestigiousevent.
