Los Angeles:
Music legend Elton John is "smitten" with Lady Gaga and has hailed the pop star's upcoming song as the new gay anthem.
The two stars teamed up for a theatrical performance at the Grammy Awards earlier this year and John admits he can't wait to work with the 'Paparazzi' singer, reported Entertainment Weekly.
"She and I come from exactly the same place... I love her and I love her ability to write," said the 63-year-old singer.
John is confident that Gaga, 24, is about to become an even bigger star when her new album is released next year.
"It's amazing. 'Born This Way', which is the title song, will completely get rid of Gloria Gaynor's 'I Will Survive'. This is the new I Will Survive... This is the new gay anthem," said John.
