Oscar winner Emma Thompson has been immortalised on the Hollywood Walk of Fame after unveiling her star.
The actress was joined by her Nanny MCPhee Returns co-star Maggie Gyllenhaal and her ex-boyfriend, Hugh Laurie, when she was honoured with the 2,416th star, located outside the historic Pig 'n Whistle pub on Hollywood Boulevard, E online reported.
"Everything she did just oozed talent. She said talented things, she wore talented clothes, she rode a talented bicycle, she made talented spaghetti. She is a truly remarkable person, a very good friend, and I could not be prouder," Laurie said.
"She's cooked me roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, while acting and writing and producing a huge, multimillion-dollar studio movie," Gyllenhaal said.
"This comes through in all of the things she writes and the movies she acts in," she added.
The actress called her star is in front of the Pig 'n Whistle pub on Hollywood Boulevard, "appropriate."
"It's the last thing you step on before you get yourfirst drink and the last thing you step on when you reel out,"Thompson joked.
The 51-year-old British actress won her first Academy Award for Best Actress in 1992 for her role in Howard's End, and scooped her second Oscar in 1996 for Best Adapted Screenplay for the film version of classic Jane Austen novel, Sense and Sensibility.
