London:
Harry Potter star Emma Watson is all set to leave Hermione Granger behind by becoming the new face of beauty giant Lancome.
The actress, who has taken a break from studies to concentrate on her movie career, tweeted the news to her fans in a form of riddle.
The 20-year-old referred to the previous face of Lancome, Julia Roberts, with the tweet: "This Pretty Woman was their latest recruit. Other great actresses have previously followed suit."
The new campaign, featuring Emma, is being shot by famous fashion photographer Mario Testino and the actress will feature on both the posters and the TV advertising.
"It's so exciting, I can't wait to start shooting," Emma said.
But the fresh-faced actress seems a curious choice for a make-up brand as she rarely wears very much on her face.
In a statement, company President Youcef Nabi said: "Thanks to her charm, romanticism and her incredible modernity, Emma Watson has become the icon of her generation. We are delighted by this new collaboration with Emma who brings a fresh spirit to Lancome."
Emma recently announced that juggling work and studies had become a little impossible.
"I will still be working towards my degree. It's just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought," she said Emma, announcing her break from Brown University.
