Actor Emraan Hashmi has paid tribute to legendary lyricist Gulzar in Ek Thi Daayan and the director of the horror thriller Kannan Iyer says the sequence is presented in a realistic manner.
"Yes, in the film Emraan pays tribute to Gulzar saab in a sequence. We thought of a fresh way and made it look more realistic," Iyer told IANS.
In the song Yaaram, Emraan pays tribute to Gulzar. It is a party song, which will see the actor coming to the bash with a book written by Gulzar, opening it and singing a song from the book.
"Instead of just having one of his songs, we have made it more realistic," he added.
Co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj, Ek Thi Daayan also features Konkona Sen Sharma, Kalki Koechlin and Huma Qureshi, among others. The film is slated for April 18 release.
