Southern actress Priya Anand will beseen in Farhan Akhtar's upcoming home production Fukrey.Priya, who is a popular name in the Tamil and Telugu filmindustry, has been signed by Excel Entertainment for a leadrole in the new youth-centric film.
The actress played the role of Sridevi's niece Radha inthe recently released English Vinglish.
Fukrey, to be directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, isproduced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
"Everyone loved Priya's performance in EnglishVinglish. Fukrey will be her first central portrayal in ayouth-centric romantic film," Excel Entertainment spokespersonsaid in a statement here.
Set against a college backdrop, the movie is aboutbonding between friends and has an ensemble cast. PulkitSamrat (of Bittoo Boss fame) and Richa Chadda are alreadypart of the film.
