New Delhi:
Children should be catered to with quality family shows which entertain and impart learning at the same time, says actress Gurdeep Kohli, who will be seen in the second season of Disney Channel's Best Of Luck Nikki.
"When I used to do saas-bahu shows, I thought the shows were not worthwhile to watch and learn from. A show like Best Of Luck Nikki caters to the content need for kids," said Gurdeep.
"It is funny, yet tells people to love themselves. It leaves a smile on your face. The success of the first season proved there's space for quality content for children, and so we have come back with the second season," she added.
The comedy show, which centres around the everyday trials, tribulations and triumphs of a busy family of six, will go on air on June 3 at 10 a.m.
In the new season, viewers will witness what happens when baby Nikki turns two, begins toilet training, goes to school and inadvertently causes hiccups and hurdles in the lives of her siblings, Dolly, Rohan and Sunny and her parents Himani and Avatar Singh.
Gurdeep plays the role of Himani. Other than this show, Gurdeep, who became popular thanks to shows like Sanjivani and Sinndoor Tere Naam Ka, doesn't want to take much on her shoulders.
"I don't intend to do any other show as of now. My daughter is my first priority now and taking up another show would take away time from me. I want to first take care of her," said Gurdeep, who married actor Arjun Punj in 2006.
