Eva Longoria is set to return to small screen with an animated series
Miami:
Actress Eva Longoria said she almost killed herself during the shoot of a short film she directed and starred in.
"I almost killed myself," she said, recounting the experience of making Out of the Blue during an appearance on ABC TV's The View.
"I'm oooold... I hurt my back, I hurt my hip."
Longoria, 38, got banged up doing her own stunts for the role of a sexy assassin in the short action film.
The actress noted that she also likes being behind the camera.
"I love directing and producing. I prefer it, actually," Longoria said.
Speaking of which, the popular actress is currently returning to the small screen, for which she will produce and star in a new animated series for adults called Mother Up! that is scheduled to launch in Canada next month.
Longoria said she provides the voice for the Rudi Wilson character, once a music producer and now a bitter mom who lives in the suburbs of a big city.
The actress known for her role as Gabrielle Solis in Desperate Housewives spoke during the interview about her looks when she was little and about her nieces and nephews, for whom, she says, she makes their Halloween costumes every year.
