Hitch star Eva Mendes has launched her first fashion line.
The collection, which is a collaboration between the 39-year-old actress and retailer New York and Company, is demure and consists of vintage-inspired pieces designed to be 'modern and feminine', reported OK magazine.
Mendes, who unveiled a portion of the collection on GMA this morning, said she wanted to dress 'real women' with her sweetly-printed dresses, pussy-bow blouses and soft pants.
The clothes are available in sizes zero to 18. The affordable collection and is priced in the range of USD 55 for pants to USD 80 for a dress.
"It offers simple, sensible clothes for the everyday woman. I love a bargain. I am always shopping at thrift shops. I will go and buy a USD 6 dress, then I will get a coffee, and there are always women who are like, 'Where can I get your dress'?" Mendes said.
Although her sisters and best friends expressed their continued excitement for the collection, Mendes said she was initially hesitant.
"New York and Company came to me with the opportunity, and I have been a fan of theirs for years. My first reaction was nervous, I was like, 'I'm not sure I have anything to offer'. But I accepted the challenge with one goal: to make women look good," Mendes said.
