Pakistan: Actor Fawad Khan, who won hearts as Sonam Kapoor's Prince Charming in Khoobsurat, is one of Pakistan's busiest stars. As the actor gears up for his second act in Bollywood, we bring you exclusive pictures from his photoshoot for designer Omar Farooq's Republic by Omar Farooq spring/summer 2015 collection in Pakistan. You're welcome.
Fawad, who is the brand ambassador for Mr Farooq's collection, posed in cotton, linen, wool, linen and silk outfits in pastels and neutral colours.
The designer said that he was inspired by French actor Alain Delon's movies that were set in the early 1970s and described Fawad as the 'Alain Delon of Pakistan'.
"There is no one quite like him in Pakistan. He is truly the epitome of what a man should be. Personally, I think he is the Alain Delon of Pakistan," Mr Farooq said of the Zindagi Gulzar Hai star. (In Pics: )
He also shared some behind-the-scenes stories. "We shot at interior designer Mian Ahad's and it was a very seamless shoot. We did not notify the residents of Mian Ahad's building that he would be coming, and news spread pretty fast that he was there. Pretty soon, he was being swarmed for pictures! He's very patient and polite with fans, though," Omar Farooq said.
Of Fawad's professionalism, he said, "Fawad is a perfectionist and very professional, so all the fittings, concepts, etc. needed to be finalized with him before starting. He does not work in any other way."
The actor, who became a household as Ashar of Humsafar, will be next seen in Karan Johar's Kapoor and Sons which also stars Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Rishi Kapoor. He also has Battle For Bittora coming up which reunites him with Sonam and Reema Kagti's untitled project.
