A still from Fan teaser.
New Delhi:
The latest poster of Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming Fan reveals little about its titular hero. We discover that the 'Sabse Bada Superstar' in the film is King Khan himself, but the look of his 'Sabse Bada Fan' Gaurav is still kept under wraps.
In this poster, 'Gaurav' stands with his back to the camera facing a wall of fame, every inch of which is covered with posters of the various characters Shah Rukh has played in a career spanning 23 years.
The room Gaurav stands in is a shrine to SRK. You can spot pictures of Shah Rukh Khan from his earliest films like Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa and Josh to later blockbusters like Don, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Mohabbatein and Devdas. The desktop screensaver is that of SRK from Dil Toh Pagal Hai and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is first in a stack of DVDs.
On Twitter, SRK played to the gallery, paraphrasing a dialogue from his film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
The film's editor Namrata Rao had earlier revealed that Fan is a 'thriller' - Gaurav is clearly obsessed with his idol which, we deduce, potentially makes him a stalker like his character from Darr. (Also Read: 'Shah Rukh Khan Wants Fan to be Tightly Edited')
Directed by Maneesh Sharma, Fan also stars Waluscha De Sousa, Illeana D'Cruz, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Ali Fazal and is slated to release on April 15 next year.
