Mumbai: Actor Farhan Akhtar who will play the athlete Milkha Singh in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Bhaag Milkha Bhaag will head to London Olympics to cheer the athletes.
According to a source, "Farhan has realised that we have never been short of talent as far as athletics is concerned. And since the Olympics is the biggest sporting event, he's going to London to cheer the athletes."
The actor-filmmaker is scheduled to travel after the opening ceremony. "Farhan is finalising his trip, considering the schedule of the key athletic contests in which India is also participating," adds the source. The filmmaker-actor has also been invited by sports bodies across the country to hold special talks.
