New Delhi:
Filmmaker Mohit Suri, who has worked with Aditya Roy Kapur in 2013's Aashiqui 2, denies approaching the actor for his next project but confirmed that he is in talks with Farhan Akhtar for it, reports news agency PTI. "Aditya has never been approached. He is a friend of mine, he comes over to my house all the time, it's not to do with work. But people confuse that with work and think I am working with him. But yes, I did approach Farhan. But I need another actor for the movie. Until I don't have that, I don't have a film. It's a two-hero project," he added.
Aashiqui 2, starring Aditya opposite Shraddha Kapoor, was a hit. Later, the duo co-starred together in Shaad Ali's OK Jaanu, a remake of Tamil film OK Kanmani. Shraddha Kapoor was rumoured to be dating Farhan Akhtar, his Rockstar 2 co-star.
Meanwhile, of the project, which will be based on a father-son relationship, Mohit told PTI, "I am writing it at the moment. I am not sure if that's going to be my next or not. I still have to submit the draft to the actors and cast the film. It is a personal journey, which I've used in a semi-autobiographical way. I hope I get the right platform to make the film." His last directed film Half Girlfriend tanked at the box and starred Shraddha opposite Arjun Kapoor. The film was based on Chetan Bhagat's novel of the same name.
Mohit Suri is known for films like Ek Villain, Hamari Adhuri Kahani and Murder.
