Mumbai: Farhan Akhtar feels that an Indian adaptation of popular American political-drama series House of Cards will make for an interesting show.

The Rock On!! star is currently hosting reality TV show I Can Do That, which is an adaptation of an American show of the same name.

When asked if there is an American show that he would like to choose for the Indian audience, Farhan said, "The one that I find very exciting, which I've been watching of late is House of Cards. I find it quite incredible. I think that would make a very different, interesting kind of a show for television here."

House of Cards revolves around themes of ruthless pragmatism, manipulation and power. It stars Hollywood stalwarts Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright.

The 41-year-old Dil Dhadakne Do actor said that bringing a concept like this would be nice as Indian TV is more melodrama-driven now. (Also Read: Rock On 2!! Row: Bombay High Court Orders For Joint Credit to Writers)

"There was a time when we had a show about a political family. There was a lot more drama. Shows used to focus more on real drama which has become less now. Larger-than-life melodrama works these days. So that would be nice to go back to," he said.

Farhan will next be seen Bejoy Nambiar's Wazir, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan.
