Farhan Akhtar film Rock On 2, which is a sequel to 2008 musical drama Rock On!! will go down in history as the first Bollywood film to launch virtual reality content.
The team unveiled the Rock On Anthem Revisited, a stereoscopic 360 degree visual treat for fans on Twitter yesterday. Now, the viewer has the benefit of scrolling and dragging the page view to a desired angle, thereby enjoying the technique of virtual reality.
Ever since the release of the song yesterday, fans have been tripping over the video. Additionally, the Rock On 2 team has been touring in various cities in the form of concerts, another first.
Fans were in for a pleasant surprise when Rock On!! cast-member Luke Kenny, whose character dies at the end of the first part thus ending his story arc, showed up for a promotional shoot in Mumbai.
Directed by Shujaat Saudagar, Rock On 2, which also stars Shashank Arora, Purab Kohli and Arjun Rampal, is set to release on November 11.
