Farhan Akhtar's Rock On 2, the much-awaited sequel of the 2008 musical entertainer Rock On!!, will hit the screens worldwide on November 11.
Ritesh Sidhwani, who is producing the second part of the hit film with Farhan, made the announcement via Twitter.
Rock On!!, a rock musical, launched the acting careers of Prachi Desai and Farhan. Farhan even produced the film, which also stars Arjun Rampal, Luke Kenny and Purab Kohli.
Written by Abhishek Kapoor and Pubali Chaudhuri and directed by Shujaat Saudagar, the film has Shraddha Kapoor joining the cast to play the lead role along with Farhan for the first time. (Also Read: Rock On 2!! Row: Bombay High Court Orders For Joint Credit to Writers)
The second instalment of the film, which has been shot in Meghalaya capital Shillong, which is often referred as India's rock capital, is said to take forward the story in a more musical and fun way.
Rock On!!, which had blockbuster music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, was about the fate of a fictional Mumbai-based rock band Magik, members of which reunite after a decade-long split.
