Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, has delivered an "impressive total" in its extended four-day weekend, reports trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Fighter released on January 25, a day before Republic Day, and its current total at the end Sunday was Rs 123.60 crore. Sunday was the best performing day with Fighter making over Rs 30 crore in ticket sales on Day 4. Most of the film's business is thanks to urban centres rather than mass circuits and Fighter faces its real test today – "the make or break Monday."

Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand, stars Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone as air force officers in an elite team called the Air Dragons. Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi co-star.

"Fighter packs an impressive total in its extended weekend. The trending on Saturday and Sunday - after Republic Day holiday - has certainly instilled hope and confidence. Thursday 24.60 cr, Friday 41.20 cr, Saturday 27.60 cr, Sunday 30.20 cr. Total: Rs 123.60 cr. India biz," posted Taran Adarsh.

"The biz of Fighter is clearly divided. While urban centres range from excellent to very good, the mass pockets/single screens haven't tapped its real potential. Post extended weekend, the biz needs to stay strong across metros, non-metros and mass belt. The real examination for Fighter begins TODAY, the make-or-break Monday," he added.

For the unversed, Fighter has not hit the screens in Gulf countries, except the United Arab Emirates. Reportedly, the movie did not secure approval from the GCC Censors (Gulf Cooperation Council Censors). Although the censor screening occurred on January 10, 2024, the official announcement regarding the film's non-release in most Gulf countries was only made on January 23, 2024. Trade analyst Girish Johar also confirmed this setback in a tweet, stating, "In a setback, #Fighter officially banned across Middle East regions for theatrical release. Only UAE will release the film with PG15 classification!"

Fighter has been jointly backed by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures.
