A smattering of Bollywood celebrities, dressed in their fashionable best, sparkled on the red carpet at the Filmfare Awards held in Mumbai on Janaury 15. (See Pics A-List Stars on The Red Carpet)
Bollywood's leading family, the Bachchans, led the celeb roll call at the A-list event. Amitabh Bachchan looked dapper in a black tux. Jayaji and Bachchan beti Shweta Nanda were colour co-ordinated in white.
Deepika Padukone stopped all traffic in red Ralph & Russo, her rumoured beau and Bajirao Mastani co-star Ranveer Singh proving to be her best accessory at the event.
Ladies in white were a big trend this year. Madhuri Dixit was ravishing in an embellished white sari designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Sonam Kapoor was a vision in a white Anamika Khanna lehenga-choli. Neha Dhupia opted for white Gauri and Nainika. Aditi Rao Hydari also wore Gauri and Nainika.
Also in white was VJ-actress Sophie Choudry, a vision in Georges Chakra. Actress Elli Avram looked fabulous in a figure-hugging gown.
Fashion's favourite colour black was seen on many including Jacqueline Fernandez, Parineeti Chopra in Shivan and Naresh, Akshara Haasan and Richa Chadda.
Adding bling to the red carpet were Rekha in traditional kanjeevaram, Bhumi Pednekar and Raveena Tandon made heads turn in Manish Malhotra lehenga-cholis.
Salman Khan and his Bajrangi Bhaijaan family, including director Kabir Khan and his wife Mini Mathur, turned out in full force. But it was his co-star Harshaali Malhotra who stole the show, looking adorable in a peach dress.
Other celebs who were present included Sonali Bendre and her filmmaker-husband Goldie Behl, TV couple Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonerjee, Hero actress Athiya Shetty and actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Irrfan Khan, Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor.
