New Delhi:

SPECTRE, as Bond 24 is officially known, started filming yesterday and a picture from the first day on set has been revealed by the makers.

The photo features the clapboard of the film as well as a porcelain British bulldog, the desk ornament that the previous M (played by Dame Judi Dench) left 007 in her will.

Dame Judi has since passed the baton to actor Ralph Fiennes who takes over the MI6 Whitehall offices as the new M. British actor Andrew Scott also joins the Whitehall crew as 'Denbigh,' though it is unclear which side his character is on, given his past as the villainous Moriarty from TV's Sherlock. Inglourious Basterd Christoph Waltz also stars in the film and is possibly the main baddie.

Bond, of course, is played once again by Daniel Craig and other familiar faces include Naomie Harris as Moneypenny and Ben Whishaw as Q.

Two new Bond girls join the cast of SPECTRE - Italian star Monica Bellucci and French actress Lea Seydoux.

Primary filming takes place in London's Pinewood Studios, where the cast of the film was revealed last week. Bond's adventures in SPECTRE will also take him to Mexico, Rome, Morocco and Austria. He will drive an Aston Martin DB10.

SPECTRE, named after the criminal organization created by Bond writer Ian Fleming, releases on November 6, 2015.
