New Delhi:
Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has been unable to promote her forthcoming film Ek Tha Tiger because of a flu infection and not food poisoning, the actress' spokesperson said.
Sources close to the actress made the clarification after tabloids reported that she was suffering from food poisoning.
The source said, "Katrina was ill and was suffering from a bad flu and not food poisoning as reported by a popular publication. She has never been the kind to skip any of her professional commitments and has never let health get in the way".
Katrina's official spokesperson confirmed, saying "Katrina has been down with a bad flu since Saturday morning but despite that fulfilled her prior commitment and walked for Manish Malhotra at the Delhi Couture Week.
Since the release of Ek Tha Tiger is two days away, it was a collective call that she should rest it out for a day.She is now perfectly fine and will resume promoting the film with Salman Khan as per schedule." (Read: Has Katrina Kaif had enough of Salman Khan telling her what to do?)
Katrina missed an appearance on NDTV last Sunday, where she and her Ek Tha Tiger co-star Salman Khan were to have interacted with fans.
Salman appeared by himself and attributed Katrina's absence to a cold. Katrina's no-show has also led to questions about whether she's not just a little fed up of Salman Khan telling her what to do.
So now we know - it wasn't food poisoning or the sulks, just the flu.
