Ms Hepburn's outfits both on and off-screen were widely copied and her 'French pleat' from Breakfast at Tiffany's is considered among the most influential hairstyles ever.
Audrey Hepburn was nominated for five Oscars. She won the Best Actress Oscar in 1953 for her debut performance in Roman Holiday and was given an honorary Oscar for her humanitarian work posthumously in 1993.
