Majnu Bhai and Uday Shetty still have the Midas touch at the box office. New film Welcome Back's weekend receipts have delivered another 50 crore weekend for profit-deficient Bollywood, in the third quarter of the year.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted:

With its opening weekend numbers, Welcome Back joins the slowly expanding list of other big hitters of the year - Baahubali, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Piku, Brothers, Gabbar Is Back, Dil Dhadakne Do, ABCD 2 and Phantom. (Read Review: Welcome Back)
The film is a sequel to 2007 hit Welcome and is directed by Anees Bazmee. Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Paresh Rawal return as Majnu Pandey, Uday Shetty and Dr Ghunghroo. Additions to the cast include John Abraham as Ajju Bhai, Shruti Haasan, Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia and Shiney Ahuja.
The last quarter of the year will likely deliver more good news for Bollywood in the form of high-profile films like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's Jazbaa, Salman Khan's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale and two films starring Deepika Padukone - Tamasha with Ranbir Kapoor and Bajirao Mastani with Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra.
