New Delhi: A member of the Prem Ratan Dhan Payo cast has apparently so impressed the action director that he's been offered a role in cult TV show Game Of Thrones. No, it's not Salman Khan. (Also Read: This Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Song May Remind You of Salman's Old Songs)
Neil Nitin Mukesh, who co-stars with Salman and Sonam Kapoor in the Sooraj Barjatya-directed film, has told Mumbai Mirror that Greg Powell, also the stunt director for Game Of Thrones, made him the offer after training him in sword-fighting for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
"Greg has directed two sword-fighting sequences in PRDP for which I had to train for over a month in order to get the stance and wrist movements right. He seemed pretty impressed with all the hard work I put in and made the offer when we were shooting for the climax scene a few months ago," Neil told Mumbai Mirror.
Just like in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, the 33-year-old actor will be playing a royal and will feature in fight sequences. Game Of Thrones is also known for its extreme nudity which, Neil says will be no problem. "I have gone nude for Jail, so why not for this? I am okay with it if it's required for my character. I am not intimidated by it as an actor," he said to Mumbai Mirror.
And yes, he's a fan, counting the Khaleesi and Jon Snow among his favourite characters.
This will make Neil the latest in a string of Indian actors to be cast in high profile shows on international TV, beginning with Anil Kapoor in 24 who has since been succeeded by several others including Suraj Sharma and Nimrat Kaur in Homeland, and Priyanka Chopra who is headlining the cast of new series Quantico. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo releases next week. Neil, who made an edgy debut in 2007's Johnny Gaddar, also has Wazir with Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar coming up.
