French jazz musician Truffaz to perform in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Two French jazz musicians and a Tunisian sufi singer who sings in Arabic, would be performing on the banks of river Sabarmati at a music concert organised by the Alliance Francaise (AF) here tomorrow.

"The Alliance Francaise will be completing 29 years in the city this year and to celebrate this we are organising a jazz concert of a well known French musician Erik Truffaz tomorrow," director of AF here, Philippe Martin told mediapersons today.
   
The concert would be held at the Gujarat Sahitya Parishad (GSP), located on the banks of river Sabarmati, Martin said. "For the concert Truffaz would be accompanied by Tunisian singer Mounir Troudi and Philippe Garcia on the drums," he added.
    
Truffaz is a Swiss-born French jazz trumpeter, who likes to infuse elements of hip hop, rock and roll and dance music into his compositions. Troudi sings sufi songs in
Arabic on jazz music.

Garcia is a drummer who has worked with Truffaz on number of projects including 'Paris' which they would be playing during the concert tomorrow.
