Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan boasts an ensemble cast, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Jayam Ravi, Sobhita Dhulipala and Aishwarya Lekshmi. But we can't deny the fact that despite working alongside renowned stars, child artiste Sara Arjun's performance as the younger version of Nandini (played by Aishwarya) also stood out in the film. But PS - 1 and 2 aren't Sara's only films with Vikram. The actress, on Monday, took a trip down memory lane and shared a photograph from when she was a kid. It appears to be from 2011 when Vikram and Anushka Shetty's film Deiva Thirumagal was released in theatres. Sara played the role of Vikram's daughter Nila Krishna in the AL Vijay directorial.
The photo shows Vikram holding pint-sized Sara Arjun in his arms and posing for the camera. “From Nila to Nandini…Deiva Thirumagal, Ponniyin Selvan 2” and added: “Vikram sir” with a red heart icon.
Soon after Sara tweeted the photo, she received words of appreciation from the actor himself. “Rock on lil brat! So proud of you,” he wrote while re-tweeting the throwback snap. She reacted to his shout-out with a folded hand and a red heart icon. Take a look:

While Sara Arjun portrayed a young Nandini in Mani Ratnam's masterpiece, the younger version of Aditha Karikalan (Vikram) was played by Santhosh Sreeram.
Sara, who has joined Twitter recently, has been sharing some BTS pictures from the sets of Ponniyin Selvan 2. Like this one, where she is looking gorgeous dressed as her character.
