Furious 7 has topped box office charts the world over, making Rs 70 crores in India and almost $148 million in America.
Paul Walker, who has played undercover cop Brian O'Conner in all seven Fast & Furious films, died while filming the seventh installment. The film was completed with the actor’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, standing in for him.
Vin Diesel, who co-starred with Paul in all the films, has spoken often about the late actor. At a screening of Furious 7 in Los Angeles last month, Vin described the film as 'the hardest movie' he had ever made. "When the tragedy happened, I lost my best friend. I lost my brother," he said.
Just weeks ago, Vin and partner Paloma had welcomed a baby daughter they named Pauline in honour of the late Paul.
