Akshay Kumar's Gabbar is Back, the highest Bollywood opener of 2015 so far, is steadily Avenging Bollywood's dismal performance at the box office compared to Hollywood's Furious 7 and Avengers: Age of Ultron. The film's latest collections are pegged at Rs 46.16 crore.

Akshay Kumar plays the titular character in the Krish-directed film, while Shruti Haasan plays his love interest. Kareena Kapoor makes a special appearance.
Meanwhile, Avengers continue to smash box office records worldwide with estimated collections of $187.7 million. The superhero film, which has scored the second-highest box office debut of all time, has made Rs 64.47 crore in India so far.
Bollywood now pegs its hopes on Piku, starring Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan, which opens this Friday. A series of big Fridays follows with Bombay Velvet starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, Kangana Ranaut's Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Dil Dhadakne Do starring an ensemble cast that includes Priyanka Chopra, Anushka and Ranveer Singh.
