Game Changer Box Office Collection Day 2: Amid Accusations Of Inflating Numbers, Ram Charan And Kiara Advani's Film Faces A Roadblock

Following the film's release on January 10, the makers faced accusations of inflating box office numbers.

Ram Charan and Kiara Advani's political action film Game Changer, directed by Shankar, was released on January 10. Touted as one of South Cinema's big-budget releases following Pushpa 2, the film had fans eager to see what it had in store. However, many were left disappointed, which is reflected in the film's box office performance.

According to Sacnilk, Game Changer saw a significant drop in collections, with a 57.84% decline on Saturday. On Friday (Day 1), the film earned Rs 51 crore across all languages, but on Saturday (Day 2), it managed only Rs 21.5 crore. This brings the total India gross collection to Rs 72.5 crore.

The Telugu version of the film earned Rs 53.95 crore, while the Hindi version brought in Rs 14.5 crore. The Tamil version grossed Rs 3.82 crore, the Malayalam version earned Rs 0.03 crore and the Kannada version made Rs 0.02 crore.

The occupancy for Game Changer varied across languages. The Telugu version had an occupancy of 31.19% on Saturday, while the Hindi version had a lower occupancy of 21.82%. 

In terms of regional performance, Mahbubnagar in Telangana saw the highest occupancy for the Telugu version at 54.25%, followed by Warangal at 46.50%, with 48 shows. 

For the Hindi version, Jaipur led with the highest occupancy at 54.50% across 123 shows, while Chennai followed with 40.75% occupancy over eight shows. In Mumbai, the occupancy was 26% with 444 shows and in Delhi NCR, it stood at 21.75% with 668 shows.

Following the film's release on January 10, the makers faced accusations of inflating box office numbers. They had initially claimed the movie earned Rs 186 crore worldwide on Day 1. 

Directed by S. Shankar and produced by Dil Raju, Game Changer also features Nassar, SJ Suriyah, Brahmanandam, Vennela Kishore, and Murali Sharma in pivotal roles.
