Los Angeles: The fifth season of Game of Thrones will get four new directors.

The new names will pave the way for acclaimed director David Nutter who will be in charge of the last two episodes of the season, reported Ace Showbiz.

Michael Slovis, Mark Mylod, Jeremy Podeswa, and Miguel Sapochnik will each direct two episodes in the respective order. Although new to the hit HBO show, these four have had experience in directing other TV shows. (Also Read: Why was GRR Martin offended by fans)

Jeremy in particular has worked for the network's Boardwalk Empire.

David directed the infamous Red Wedding episode in season 3 and will be back next year to helm the ninth and tenth episodes which are crucial to bridge the sixth season already in order.

Meanwhile, notable names like Neil Marshall, who earned an Emmy nomination last week for his work in season 4 episode The Watchers On The Wall, is absent from the upcoming season.

Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss also skip it. No official premiere date of the fifth season has been released by HBO yet, but the show is expected to be back on air sometime in April 2015.

Part of the new season would be shot in "several natural locations in the Province of Sevilla (Spain)," HBO noted.
