Australian actress Essie Davis has signed for season six of the popular fantasy drama TV series Game of Thrones, reported Entertainment Weekly
The actress is best known as the star of the 2014 psychological horror The Babadook and will reportedly play a member of a travelling theatre troupe in Braavos that stages a play called The Bloody Hand. (Also Read: Jon Snow's Death on Game of Thrones Ruined This Actress' Marriage)
The play will be about the happenings at King's Landing that has gone down on the show since the series began.
During this play-within-the-show, the actress will portray Cersei Lannister.
She was also in the two Matrix sequels and the Australian version of The Slap mini-series.
The new cast members on the show include Max von Sydow, as the Three-Eyed Raven, Freddie Stroma as Dickon Tarly, Johan Philip Asbaek as Euron Greyjoy, Ian McShane and Richard E Grant.
The new season will air in 2016.
