It's that time of the year again. Devotees are all set to welcome Bappa as Ganesh Chaturthi begins from Friday. The 10-day festival is filled with fun, devotion and gaiety and among them are Bollywood celebrities, who welcome Ganpati with love and bid him farewell with the promise to welcome him again next year. Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Hrithik Roshan, Govinda and Rishi Kapoor host Ganesha every year while the Bachchans visit various pandals including Mumbai's famous Lalbaugcha Raja. Actor Hrithik Roshan will welcome Ganpati early morning tomorrow and so will Govinda and Jeetendra - it will be his grandson Lakkshya's first Ganesh Chaturthi celebration. Sanjay Dutt, who has recorded a Ganesha aarti for his upcoming film Bhoomi, visited a Ganpati pandal with his wife Maanyata on Wednesday. As the celebs prep for a new start with Ganpati we take a look at the best of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations from last year.
We'll start with Salman Khan. Galaxy Apartments in Bandra is thronged by celebrities who wish to visit Bappa. Salman's younger sister Arpita is the main host of the Khans festivities, which is attended by celebs such as Katrina Kaif, Sangeeta Bijlani, Iulia Vantur, Sonakshi Sinha, Daisy Shah, Elli Avram apart from the Khandaan. This year, there will be a change of venue for Bappa. Salman Khan is busy filming Tiger Zinda Hai with Katrina Kaif therefore Arpita will host Ganpati at her Carter Road residence.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, looked gorgeous in pink, when she arrived for darshan with her actor husband Abhsiehk Bachchan. On a different day, Aishwarya took her daughter Aaradhya to pay respects to Ganpati.
