Bollywood celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi: Sanjay Dutt with wife Maanyata

Actor Sanjay Dutt, who is known to be a devotee of Lord Ganesh, celebrated Ganpati visarjan on Sunday along with his wife Maanyata and children - Shahraan and Iqra. The 58-year-old actor was photographed carrying the Ganesha idol outside his residence, while Maanyata and the kids followed him. Mr Dutt performed aarti and was seen offering coconut to Bappa before immersing the Ganesha idol in the sea. Sanjay Dutt was dressed in white kurta pyjama and Maanyata wore an orange suit. On Satuday, Sanjay Dutt and Maanyata hosted a party at their Mumbai residence to celebrate the ten-day long Ganesh utsav. The entire team of Mr Dutt's forthcoming film Bhoomi including Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharad Kelkar along with his wife Keerti Gaekwad, Sidhant Gupta, Bhushan Kumar and Divya Khosla Kumar were part of the festivities.
On the first day of Ganesh Chaturthi, Sanjay Dutt attended a puja at T-Series office along with wife Maanyata. They performed the aarti together.
Sanjay Dutt has sung the Ganesh aarti in Bhoomi. In an interview with news agency IANS, the actor said that he felt 'lucky' that he got the chance to sing for Bappa.
"I am happy to sing a great song for Bappa. We celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi at my house. We worship him a lot, so I feel lucky that I have the chance to sing this song for him," IANS quoted the Kabzaa actor as saying.
Bhoomi, directed by Omung Kumar, is Sanjay Dutt's first film after his five-year imprisonment.
The film also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharad Kelkar and Sidhant Gupta. Bhoomi will explore the relationship between a father and a daughter and is scheduled for release on September 22.
