Shahid Kapoor, who had earlier written about skipping work for dad duties, sent out his wishes to fans and followers on Twitter as Ganesh Chaturthi began today. In his tweet, Shahid appeared to promote his upcoming film as he plugged in a reference to Batti Gul Meter Chalu with a smart play of words. "Bappa ke aate hi burai ki batti gul aur khushiyon ka meter chalu hojata hai!," he wrote on Twitter and added: "Happy Ganesh Chaturthi!" It appears that the 37-year-old actor also hinted at Misha's recovery and that with a new baby at home, things are looking fine at the Kapoor household. Yesterday, Shahid tweeted to inform that he had to miss promotional duties for his film as Misha was not keeping well. Shahid and his wife Mira Rajput welcomed their second child - son Zain - on September 5.

On Wednesday morning, Shahid trended for reports that he's been having sleepless nights and has been awake for over 32 hours at a stretch as he prioritised family duties over work, which was sort of corroborated by the actor with a tweet which read: "The last few days have been tough. Misha running very high fever and Zain just came home. Have had to miss some promotions. Just 9 days to go for Batti Gul Meter Chalu to release but being a parent is above all else. Hope to resume promotions very soon." Shraddha and Yami Gautam (also stars in Batti Gul Meter Chalu) went on a TV show recently without Shahid.
