Ananya Panday was one of the first to visit Bappa at her Student Of The Year 2 director Punit Malhotra's home on Thursday. Punit Malhotra welcomed Ganpati like several other celebrities in the presence of his family and later opened the doors for darshan to his colleagues. Ananya, dressed in a white suit, posed with Punit Malhotra with Bappa in backdrop. "The Sweet student," he captioned the photo. Meanwhile, Ananya also brought Ganpati to her home along with her parents Chunky and Bhavana Panday and sister Rysa. Bhavana Panday shared a picture of the Bappa's temporary home inside their Mumbai residence.

Ananya is making her Bollywood debut in Punit Malhotra's film, which is produced by Karan Johar. Student Of The Year 2 also stars Tiger Shroff and Disney India find Tara Sutaria. The film will open in theatres next year.

Meanwhile, Punit Malhotra posted picture of his entire family welcoming Bappa earlier in the day. In the picture, designer Manish Malhotra (Punit's uncle) can be seen with his brothers Rakesh and Dinesh and sisters-in-law Sujata and Suman. Punit's sister Rriddhi T Talwalkar was not in the picture.
On Friday, Bollywoodwallahs celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi by welcoming Ganpati with pomp and show to their respective homes. Friday's biggest Ganesha utsav was celebrated at Arpita Khan Sharma's home, where the Khandaan invited all their friends and family member for the welcome of Ganpati.
Shilpa Shetty and Sanjay Dutt also brought Ganpati home today.
