Actor Prabhas-starrer Telugu action film Rebel will release on September 28 as scheduled and will not be deferred in view of Ganesha immersion or Telangana shutdown, confirmed the filmmakers.

"Telugu action film Rebel starring Prabhas, Tamannaah Bhatia and Deeksha Seth, and directed by Ragava Lawrencce, will release worldwide on September 28," read a pressnote issued on Thursday.
According to industry grapevine, it was speculated that the film release may be deferred due to Ganesha visarjan (immersion) on September 29 and Telangana bandh on September 30.
Rebel is produced by J. Bhaghawan and J. Pulla Rao under Sri Balaji Cine Media banner.
Apart from direction, Ragava Lawrencce has also handled choreography, screenplay and music direction for the film.
Actors Mukesh Rushi, Brahmanadam, Ali and M.S. Narayana will be seen in supporting roles, while veteran actor Krishnam Raju will be seen in an important role.
At the audio launch of the film on September 14, the director was all praises for Raju's role in particular.
The film's dialogues are penned by 'Darling' Swami, cinematography is by C. Ram Prasad and editing by Martand K. Venkatesh.
