On Wednesday, Vicky Kaushal attended the special screening of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi, starring Alia Bhatt. He has now reviewed the film and is "absolutely shook" by the sheer brilliance". He shared a photo of Alia from the film and wrote, "Absolutely shook by the sheer brilliance at display in this Film. SLB Sir you are a master! And @aliaabhatt don't even know what to say about you...breathtakingly amazing as Gangu! Hats off." Vicky also added, "Big screen cinema magic. Don't miss!" Alia thanked Vicky and reposted his note on her Instagram Stories and wrote, "Vicky," followed by a red heart emoji. Gangubai Kathiawadi will release on February 25. Ajay Devgn and Shantanu Maheshwari will also be seen in key roles in the film.

Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal have worked together in Raazi, which released in 2018.

Alia Bhatt will be seen as the real-life sex worker in Gangubai Kathiawadi, who rose to political power and prominence in Kamathipura, the red-light district in Mumbai. The film has been produced by Jayantilal Gada's Pen India Limited and is adapted from one of the chapters of author Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai.

After Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt will be seen in S S Rajamouli's RRR, co-starring Ram Charan, Jr NTR, and Ajay Devgn. She also has Darlings and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
