At the launch of Gauri Khan's coffee table book My Life In Design in Mumbai on Monday night, Shah Rukh Khan was his wife's plus one. At the event, Shah Rukh Khan, as always, gave us his witty, unfiltered bits during the event. The superstar revealed that Gauri Khan designed their home Mannat. He joked that she has designed everything "except" his rooms. "She's designing houses and restaurants and hotels. Except my rooms in my house, she's designing everything else around the world," said Shah Rukh Khan. He also joked that all is well since he is a "forgiving person."
During the book launch event, Shah Rukh Khan was at his candid best. Case in point, "To all the youngsters, all the people who miss out on a dream of their life to be creative. You can start at any age. I think Gauri started mid-40s,"said SRK. He added, "40? Oh, only 40. She is 37 now. In our family, we age backwards." LOL.
Shah Rukh Khan married Gauri Khan in 1991. The star couple are parents to Aryan, 25, (their eldest child), who launched a lifestyle luxury collective streetwear brand this year. Their daughter Suhana will soon make acting debut with Zoya Akhtar's The Archies. SRK and Gauri are also parents to AbRam, 9, who attends school in Mumbai.
Gauri Khan has given makeovers to several Mumbai restaurants and celebrity homes over the years. She has decorated homes for several Bollywood stars such as Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan among many others. She has also designed restaurants like Arth and Sanchos. She also designed Alia Bhatt's vanity van.
