New Delhi: Actor Nandamuri Balakrishna's 100th film, Gautamiputra Satakarni, has crossed $ 1 million in USA, tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Directed by National Award winning filmmaker Krish Jagarlamudi, the film also stars Shriya Saran, Hema Malini and Kabir Bedi in pivotal roles. The film made Rs 2.47 crore in India on the first day. However, Chiranjeevi's comeback film Khaidi No 150 has so far made almost $2 million in USA. Gautamiputra Satakarni, featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role is based on the life of a Satavahana dynasty emperor. Taran Adarsh summed up, Gautamiputra Satakarni,'s total US business until Saturday:
The main highlights of Gautamiputra Satakarni are the four epic war sequences shot in Georgia and India. "The war sequences will stun audiences. Two war episodes were shot in Georgia, and the makers spent a fortune on it. Rest of the war sequences were shot in India. The raw footage itself looks amazing and with the visual effects it will be epic," a source from the film's unit told IANS earlier.
