Mr Martin was mourned by several members of the music industry. Former Beatle Ringo Starr, who confirmed Mr Martin's death on Twitter, led a series of tributes from music producer Mark Ronson, singers Lenny Kravitz, Liam Gallagher, Boy George and Josh Groban, and composer Vishal Dadlani.
