London: British singer George Michael's voice may suffer from the treatment he is getting, says an expert doctor caring for him.
The Careless Whisper hitmaker, 48, who was hospitalised in Vienna on November 23 and diagnosed with the potentially deadly lung infection, is on a ventilator that forces air in and out of his lungs, the Sun online reported.
"It depends how long he spends on the ventilator, but in the worst case his illness could seriously affect his singing capacity. The pressure is very close to his vocal cords and it could affect them," said Doctor Gerrit Wohlt. The singer has already scrapped a number of shows on his Symphonica tour so that he could combat the illness, but later decided to pull out of the entire trek.
