Cory Monteith was found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver
Vancouver:
Actor Cory Monteith, who died last week, was cremated here following a private wake ceremony on Tuesday (July 16, 2013), reports tmz.com.
Monteith, known for the show Glee, was found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver on July 13. The autopsy reports suggested that he died of alcohol and heroin overdose. He was 31.
The ceremony was attended by his long-time girlfriend Lea Michele and his family, including his elder brother Shaun.
However, Monteith's father Joe, who divorced his mother Anne long time back, was not invited and he is devastated that he could not see his son for the last time.
"I always loved both my sons and am going to miss Cory very very much. I'm saddened at the fact that I couldn't have been there to see my son before he was cremated," said Joe.
Joe was informed about the wake after it took place.
