New Delhi:
There is finally some good news for the fans of The Kapil Sharma Show. The show has not seen good days in a while now and there have been some reports suggesting that it will be going off air. However, today the channel announced that it will be renewing The Kapil Sharma Show, reported news agency IANS. Kapil Sharma, who is elated to know that his contract is going to be renewed with the channel, said that he is 'deeply touched with the warmth and love of the audience,' reported IANS. "It's their belief and undying devotion that encourages us to continue to reinvent ourselves and bring smiles to every household week on week," Kapil Sharma said in a statement, reported IANS.
"I am grateful to Sony Entertainment Channel for believing in me and our show and supporting us in creating and bringing unlimited entertainment to every household every weekend," IANS quoted Kapil as saying.
Danish Khan, Executive Vice President and Head at Sony Entertainment Television, told IANS that The Kapil Sharma Show 'bring smiles to millions of viewers every weekend.'
"Kapil is an extraordinary talent and we are delighted to have further cemented our relationship with extension of this contract. We are confident that the show and it's talented cast will continue to enthrall the audiences across the globe," IANS quoted Mr Khan as saying.
Recently, mid-day reported that Kapil Sharma has hired writer Raaj Shaandilya to write the script of his show in order to increase the falling TRPs.
The TRPs of The Kapil Sharma Show started declining after his mid-air altercation with co-star Sunil Grover, which resulted in the latter's exit from the show. Following the spat, his co-stars Chandan Prabhakar and Ali Asgar had also quit the show. In June, Chandan Prabhakar returned to the show.
Meanwhile, Ali Asgar is now a part of Kapil Sharma's rival Krushna Abhishek's show The Drama Company.
