The Avengers star TomHiddleston has been named the world's hottest actor by a filmmagazine, beating the likes of Ryan Gosling and ChrisHemsworth to the title.
The 31-year-old star also beat his Avengers Assembleco-star Robert Downey Jr to the title of Total Film magazine'sHottest Actor, with the superhero blockbuster also scoopingthe Hottest Film gong.
"I am absolutely astonished. To anyone and everyone whovoted for me: thank you. To be nominated in such exaltedcompany was honour enough, but this really is the icing on thecake," Hiddleston said.
"Actors can't call themselves actors without an audienceto watch them, and the idea that you're all out there andbelieving in the work I do is a source of enormous pride," headded.
More than 240,000 readers voted for the British star, whoalso beat off stiff competition from the likes of ChristianBale.
Avengers Assemble proved hugely popular with film fans,who awarded the superhero film the Hottest Scene award andHottest Director for Joss Whedon, as well as the covetedHottest Film title.
