Mumbai: TV shows Gumrah and The BuddyProject have been awarded with the best non-fiction and thebest fiction show respectively at the Indian TelevisionAcademy (ITA) Awards.
Gumrah is a crime show while The Buddy Project isabout a group of students. Both the shows air on Channel V.
Dil Dosti Dance, a show about a group of youngsterspassionate about dancing, won the Best Choreography Award.
"We started this journey three years ago when we hadbarely 3-4 hours of original content a week. And now our slewof shows have not only been topping ratings but also winningindustry awards like the ITA. We are really in a uniqueposition as we've carved a genre for ourselves," said PremKamath, Channel V's GM and EVP.
